Femoroacetabular impingement
A person suffering from this disease has extra bone growth in the hip joint. They rub together, causing friction. Over time this friction gets worse, resulting in thigh pain, stiffness, or limp.

DVT can advance into pulmonary embolism if not treated. An embolus is a blood clot that detaches from the parent and moves around the body; it can settle and block a pathway. When it settles in the lungs, it is named pulmonary embolism.
Hernia
Hernias are the appearance of an internal body organ protruding out from the muscles or cavities it usually stays in. They are mostly seen in the abdominal region. Still, it can appear between the groin and upper thigh. Hernias in such areas result in pain in inner thigh.
Pregnancy

Women also suffer from a condition called symphysis pubis dysfunction. It shoots pain up and down from front to back in the thighs. This happens when the ligaments normally contracted to keep the pelvic bones together, go in relax mode. This leads to pain and inflammation.
The pain goes away eventually after the birth of the baby.

Muscle tear
Groin muscle strain or tear typically causes pain in inner thigh. It happens to people who do not warm up the muscles and get into vigorous exercise or any other activity. The pull and stretch results in strain on the muscles.
